Welcome to Day #5

Today we will look at toxins in your environment and home.

From the bed you sleep on, to the clothes you wear, to the soap you use to wash up, toxins are all around you.

Learn how to become an educated consumer and start clearing your home of things that are harmful to your health, and replace them with healthier alternatives.

Toxic foods. Now that you’ve made the commitment to a healthier lifestyle, it is time to clean out the refrigerator and pantry of all the unhealthy food choices. As we head into the weekend, this is a great time to do this (hint… hint…)

Toxic environment. Find out how a cluttered home, unhealthy entertainment habits, and the places you choose to frequent can affect your health. This also includes toxic chemicals in your home and how they negatively impact your health.  

Toxic people. Negativity can have a huge impact on your health. Identify the positive people in your life that support and lift you up, and surround yourself with them. Cut loose the negative people who weigh you down.

Weekend Challenge:

  1. Clean out your kitchen of any unhealthy food and go grocery shopping for lots of healthy, yummy foods.(I even included some yummy recipes for you today).
  2. Take a look at some of your common household items—cleaning supplies, personal care products like toothpaste and deodorant, and nutritional supplements. Look at the ingredients. Is there anything you can’t pronounce or don’t know what they are? Chances are they are toxic chemicals. Google 2-3 of those ingredients and see what you find out. Share what you find most surprising inside the Facebook group.
