Am I faking it? The Struggle with Impostor Syndrome and Chronic Illness
I have been struggling with Impostor Syndrome over the past couple weeks and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.
I started wondering if other people with fibromyaliga/autoimmune also suffer from self-doubt and intellectual fraudulence that often overrides feels of success or competence.
For me, the brain fog is the worst. When I can’t think of the word for something so ridiculous, I feel like I’m uneducated (even though I know it’s just the brain fog). And when I’m feeling good, I question if I’ve been faking it and I’m don’t really have a chronic illness. Can you relate?
This week I recorded a podcast where I get very personal about my feeling on impostor syndrome and I share with you some of the research I’ve found on how this affects those of us with chronic illness.

While you’re there, I’d love it if you’d give me a positive review!
Let me know your thoughts on the matter after you give it a listen and if you’ve ever experienced it yourself. How did you overcome it?
