The Power of Copaiba Essential Oil
I’ve been doing a lot of research lately on CBD oil and how it can help with my fibromyalgia. Cannabinoids are potent and have a wide range of powerful impact on our health. However, legality, purity and potency can get in the way of seeing thee benefits. After trying a CBD oil in capsule form for 30 days and not seeing any improvements, I went back to looking into the benefits of essential oils.
Copaiba has been a favorite of mine since I got it a few months ago. This essential oil is amazing and has some amazing benefits. Some of the most important and impressive health benefits of copaiba essential oil include its ability to reduce pain, eliminate inflammation, protect against infection, heal the skin, prevent fungal growth, boost respiratory health, improve the health of the skin and hair, improve bladder control, speed healing, tighten the skin, and lower blood pressure.
Here are my top 5 powerful reasons why Copaiba should be part of your essential oil collection.
1. It can help reduce pain
This seems to be something that everyone looks for, but only few people find. Copaiba essential oil is a wonderful analgesic and has been used in this capacity for generations. Whether in an aromatherapeutic context or when topically applied, the oil can help to reduce pain and loosen muscles, eliminating pain in joints, and even easing the discomfort of headaches and migraines.
What you might not know is that over the counter pain medications like Tylenol and Advil when used over a long period of time can have harmful effects on the body. These medications were not meant to be taken every day, several times a day for extended period of time. If you’re someone that deals with chronic pain, you need something on a daily basis. Using these medications have been linked to liver and kidney damage.
Essential oils offer a safer way. When used as directed, they have little to no negative side effects on the body. As someone with chronic pain, I need something that offers relief without causing additional health problems and toxicity to the body. Copiaba offers me that benefit.
To treat your headache, you can combine your copaiba oil with a base oil and apply it to your temples, neck and forehead. For muscle pains or arthritis, make up a massage oil with your favorite carrier oil and gently rub it into the affected areas of your body.
2. I can help improve your mood
Probably one my favorite benefits of essential oils is their ability to affect our emotions. As an element in aromatherapy, copaiba essential oil has often been used to lighten the spirits and improve mood. Copaiba has a delightful aroma that many people find sweet and reminiscent of warm honey. The combination of the scent and its gentle effects on your hormonal balance can significantly improve your day.
There has been extensive research in the power of the effect of smell on emotions and mood. The smell receptors located on the upper surface of the nasal cavity make direct links with the limbic system of the brain, an area that governs the body’s emotional responses.
Essential oils like copaiba are a much safer alternative to prescription medications when it comes to emotional well-being. Of course there is no guarantee that they will work but the same goes for prescription medications and unlike those stronger drugs, essential oils like copaiba do not come along with the risk of side effect or addiction.
I like to add Copaiba to my diffuser during the day. Diffusing or inhaling essential oils can be very stimulating, calming, or soothing. I also like to combine it with lavender or citrus oils for a pleasant aroma that really enhances those feel good receptors in the brain.
3. It can help relieve congestion
People with a congestive problem or respiratory concern find relief with copaiba essential oil. Inhaling the oil will provide ease on any discomfort and relaxed the tensed muscles and glands.. When inhaled, the soothing nature of the copaiba essential oil, which is famed as an anti-inflammatory substance, can ease any discomfort and loosen the tensed muscles and glands that might be causing the irritation.
You can place copaiba essential oil in your diffuser or you can place a few drops in the palm of your hands, rub them together, and then deeply inhale. Add a few drops up to 1 tablespoon of carrier oil and rub the mixture on your upper lip before you go to bed.
4. Copaiba can lower blood pressure
If you are interested in boosting heart health and reducing your chances of experiencing a heart attack or a stroke, then adding some copaiba to your aromatherapy ritual or essential oil regimen might be a very wise choice. The anti-inflammatory, soothing nature of copaiba essential oil can help to relieve the tension and strain in your blood vessels, allowing blood pressure to drop and the strain to disappear from your cardiovascular system. This helps to prevent atherosclerosis, which is one of the leading causes of strokes and coronary heart disease.

As someone who recently experimented with CBD oil for it’s health benefits, I can tell you that the price tag just about gave my husband a heart attack (no joke). A 30 day supply was about $120. Those were 25 mg capsules and 50 mg a day are recommended for those with chronic pain.
If you want access to the health benefits of cannabinoids, a 15ml bottle of Copaiba only costs $43 with a wholesale membership (~17 cents per drop). That is a huge discount compared to a 15ml bottle CBD oil from reputable brands which cost $120 or more!
Essential oils are very potent, meaning all you need is 2-3 drops to experience the benefits.
