Matcha Pink Drink Smoothie
During the summer, icy blended coffee house drinks are often what stand between people and their sanity. This pretty Matcha Pink Drink Smoothie is inspired by the unmistakable iced beverage made from green and pink layers, that meet in the middle to create a pretty layered effect.
Both versions use matcha and strawberry for flavoring, but unlike the fancy coffee houses’, this one is packed with protein and skips the sugary syrups. Making this smoothie isn’t as difficult as it might seem. Both layers start with vanilla protein shake base . For the bottom half, you’ll blend the protein shake with matcha and coconut water, then for the top half blend it with coconut water and strawberries. To replicate the layered effect, pour the green layer into your glass first, hold the glass at a slight angle, then carefully spoon the strawberry layer on top. Swirl slightly with a straw and enjoy!
