I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2016 after several months of pain that had become so widespread that at times I could barely function. It took several months of seeing several doctors and no one could tell me why I was in so much pain, but they were willing to keep writing prescriptions–I felt like I was being experimented on, and I wanted nothing to do with it anymore.
I was determined to find another way to live the rest of my life. That’s when I went back to school to become a Functional Wellness Practitioner and Master Herbalist. I was able to use what I learned to heal my own body and I’ve been able to help others overcome or prevent chronic illness.
Here’s the bottom line … I’ve done it myself. I have personally navigated the path of transforming my fibromyalgia body from near-disability (walking with a cane) to fully restored health. I live today 80-90% pain-free. Because I’m so grateful for my own recovery, I guide others to do the same.
Day #1: Healing Mindset/The Critical Importance of Self Compassion
Mindset is a major key to healing. Gain insight on how to maintain a positive attitude. What you will learn today is the greatest concept you could ever learn about healing.
Day #3: Optimizing Digestion
Optimizing digestive function will have the greatest impact on your symptoms. Proper functioning of the gut is vital to health. If we can’t digest food and absorb nutrients, we can’t make energy, repair tissues, or recover from fibro.
Day #5: Holistic/Natural Remedies
Natural remedies for common symptoms experienced by people with fibromyalgia.
Day #2: The Role of Food and Fibromyalgia
There are several known trigger foods that can cause fibromyalgia pain, however there’s no one-size-fits-all approach for everyone. Today we’re going to be focusing on nutrition to minimize inflammation in the body.
Day #4: Nutritional Building Blocks
Ensuring your body has basic nutritional components in appropriate amounts is another foundation we need to have in place. If you have nutritional deficiencies, you are depleted of nutrients needed to feel good.
