5 Things I’m Obsessed With
I’ve been wanting to start a series on the blog for a while to share all of my current obsessions with you. These are always my favorite types of posts from other bloggers so I figured, why not share my favs with you!
This series will be bi-weekly or monthly sharing all of my latest foodie, self-care, spiritual, health, wellness, and maybe some random obsessions! I’d also love to hear from you about what you’re obsessed with lately in the comments.
I just think it’s so fun to share our favorite finds and tips with each other, you know?
Anyway, here it goes…
I’ve been seriously obsessed with Audible lately. Now, this is nothing new, but I finally started listening to books on 1.5x speed and I can finish books so much faster. It took a while to get used to it, but once you do it’s amazing. I love listening to audio books while I’m cleaning, driving, working out, or doing any mindless activities. A few awesome books I’ve listened to lately are Sell or Be Sold, The Big Leap, and The 5 Second Rule.
2. My New Luxury Hair Care Products
If you follow me on instagram (which you totally should!) than you already know I’ve become obsessed with my hair. It’s been really important for my personal health and my families health to reduce toxins in our home. That’s everything from cleaning supplies to beauty products, including hair care products. I’ve tried out several things and my hair just made me look like a dirty hippy. So, when a friend recommended this new hair care line, I was willing to give it a try. The results? AMAZING!!!!! None of the harsh chemicals and my hair hasn’t looked this good in years.
3. Club Pilates
I’ve loved Pilates for years. It gave me back my body post c-section with Cameron. This new Pilates studio opened up near me in November so I’ve been going at least twice a week. Now, if it had child care, I’d go every day. If you’ve never done Pilates on a reformer, you’ve got to check it out. It’s so much fun! It’s a great low-impact exercise that builds muscle and gets your heart rate up. It’s actually the first time in 4 years that I’ve left my house on a regular basis to exercise (I’ve worked out from home almost exclusively since Cameron was born… he’s 4). Exercising with other women and getting to know them has been a blast too.
I love reading to my kids at night before bed. Before Christmas, I was substituting in a 4th grade classroom and their read aloud was Wonder. I immediately fell in love and couldn’t stop reading it. So, I immediately downloaded it to my Kindle and started reading it to Anderson before bed. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to beat up the bullies! I’ve not seen the movie yet, but that’s on the list of things to do this weekend. Such a great book to read with your kids. We had such great conversations with this book too. Anderson and I give it 5 stars!
5. Smoked Butterscotch Lattes
You might be one of those people that love your pumpkin spice lattes and count down the days until it’s available, but I’m obsessed with the Smoked Butterscotch Lattes at Starbucks right now. I tried this for the first time last year and was so sad that it wasn’t a regular drink. You know I love my coffee (and I really love Starbucks), but I’ve had to have some control here. It’s so yummy and a great treat on a cold day! I allow myself Starbucks once a week and right not, this is my go-to drink.
