Most Important Thing For You To Achieve Optimal Health

How do you achieve optimal health so you can reach your goals?

It all begins with the fundamental building block:  WATER!

We’re all looking for a quick fix and usually I’ll tell you there’s no such thing, but this is the only exception to this rule.  Water is a quick fix!  Without water we feel sluggish and crabby, losing weight become almost impossible, and we don’t perform at our best in any are of our lives.

The adult body is made up of 60% water.  1% of dehydration can have up to a 15% decrease in performance, with an increased heart rate, core temperature and less ability to keep going.

The most vital factor to achieving optimal health is HYDRATION!!!

  • The brain and heart are composed of 73% water.
  • The lungs 83% water.
  • The skin 64% water
  • Muscles and kidneys 79% water
  • Bones 31% water.

What does water do for you?

  • vital nutrient acting as the essential building material
  • regulates body temperature
  • lubricates your joints
  • proteins and carbohydrates are metabolized and transported by water in the bloodstream
  • helps flush wastes
  • acts as a shock absorber for the brain, spinal cord and fetus (for you pregnant mamas)
  • gives you saliva , which is the beginning pint of digestion

How can you achieve optimal health?

Drink water!

Ideally you should be drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water (a minimum of 64 oz.).  Ultimately aim for 1 gallon of water a day, not counting any other drinks like coffee, tea, etc. When you add anything to your water, it’s no longer water.  The only exception is if you’d like to add some cucumber or lemon or other fruit to your water.  That flavored water?  Chemicals.  Pure 100% water!

How can you start drinking more water?  Look at how much water you are drinking now and add 1 extra glass per week.  That way you won’t be running to the bathroom every 10 minutes.  You’re body will naturally regulate it’s self.  You’ll start to feel more energized and just feel good.

Water is the building block to achieving optimal health!  If weight loss is your goal, then hydration is your #1 key to success!
